Website Blog

How is web distribution useful to a filmmaker?

The film maker would be able to show his work online to gain a fan base or provide them with quick online access to works they would want to see by said filmmaker, both of these providing options for profit.

1. How to create a site to to show potential customers my online wares or simply to put my art online for people to see but on my own domain.

2. I was not expecting the making of the site to be as easy or quick as it turned out to be, this being one of the few pleasant surprises I've had in earning this credit.

5.I might have considered putting a bit more effort into my background for the site, however, time was an issue.

6. I am most proud of the effects I remembered how to use in the making of the website without using a video as a guide. I can definitely use photoshop for at least basic image editing at this point.

7. I would rate this project as an 8 because it's basically a montage of all my time spent in photoshop and it seemed to make the class come full circle like a good story.

Face Swapping Pictures

2. Though the instructional video was only 25 minutes, this being the projects original appeal as the last of the 7 projects to complete for this class, I ended up spending a couple of days making the personal image simply because of minor time-consuming adjustments to mend these faces together.

3. Because of low resolution, after i transformed this guys face to match the larger girls face I got some very undesired pixilation which hindered the authenticity of this projects skin blending potential.

4. Finding a good picture to use for this project took much time because of how specific of a picture I needed. These specifics being skin color, face angle, resolution, lighting and camera proximity.

5. I would put my face on the picture I created to save time.

7. 4 because of how hard it is to find a picture and the absurd amount of time spent tweaking it. Though I did learn an important photoshop skill in the end, this being the use of the "Curves" feature

Pop art picture

1. This unit was made to teach people how to convert a portrait into an image with a classic pop art effect with the use of photoshop tools and it kind of worked.

3. It turned out to be a lot harder than I thought to stay in the boundaries of the image when putting the colors in. I used a picture of a man for my personal picture As well as the same colors that were given for the picture of the girl and the color of the lips came off as very feminine and odd looking.

4. Figuring out how to paint using the selected colors from the custom pallet of colors that came with the files was surprisingly very hard to figure out and took a long time, partially because I refused to re-watch the instructional video and partially from being distracted.

5.I would use a very outlandish color scheme for my personal image to prevent me from having to find a proper lip color and to make the image a lot more attractive to the eye.

7. 6 It was either deceptively short or I was very distracted and took a lot of time on this picture.

Dreamy Background

3.I was not expecting to be able to create this crazy/cool/trippy image with just a lens flare but hey, shows how much i know right?
4.No to my delight I finished this the day I started as well as finishing another project.
5.I would spend more time making the image even more insane instead of rushing to finish.
7.10 its cool looking and quick and I did learn a new photoshop skill.
6.I am most proud of the productivity of this project as an addition towards the completion on this class

Stone portrait

1. How to augment images to take on a different texture and color while retaining the original design and details.
4. My "Make your own" picture took a very long time mainly because I refused to review the instructive video and at times was lost on how to produce the correct image. Much guessing and checking with different effects entailed.
5.I would use a different rock texture on the brain to better emphasize the detail in the many twisted lines that make the picture look more like a brain and less like a rock.
6.I am most proud of creating my picture without the assistance of the video, though it wasn't worth the lost time in the end.

Underwater Scene

5. If I were to do this again I would have saved the cropped airplane image without effects so i could include more planes in the picture with different effects.

10. 6

9. My favorite aspects of this project are that no images were given to me to use to create it off of but rather the canvas started blank and i used basic shapes and effects to create the scene.

7. 8

8. I would include the bubble making section into this segment because I would have found them very useful when creating my own image (i.e. bubble trails from the plane crashing into the water)

Smoke

3. The Psychedelic smoke version of the girl turned out very sharp and looked more like i took a few colored pencils and colored a picture of a girl, which was a relatively unpleasant outcome.

4. Cropping the skin of the baby took an exceptionally long time as well as creating a good shape for the smoke on all pictures.
6. The color drained baby I created.

7. 9

5. I would have taken more time to find a better picture than that baby for my personal picture and taken more time to form the image of my psychedelic smoke girl.
